Mrs. Jayshree Kumar

I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as the Data Manager at PCS Early College High School and to be a part of such a dedicated and inspiring team. My professional background spans corporate banking, business, finance, healthcare, and education. I hold a Master’s degree in Microbiology, a Master’s in Business Administration, and an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Management Technology. 

Originally from India, I moved to the United States in 2007 with my husband. During a career sabbatical, I volunteered and served in leadership positions within a faith-based non profit organization which helped strengthen my passion for service and community engagement. I later joined Pitt County Schools as an AU para-professional, supporting student learning and development - a role that deepened my commitment to education. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two wonderful daughters. I enjoy gardening, music, nature photography, and exploring new places. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a school community that values growth, service, and student success.

Fun Fact: I am multilingual and could be considered a polyglot. Other than English, I know over 7 different Indian languages. I can speak, read and write 3 languages, and know the rest with varying proficiency levels.

What I love about the Early College:
I love working at Pitt Early College that fosters a positive and supportive environment and where teachers and staff empower and uplift one another with trust and respect. Such a workplace that is built on collaboration and mutual encouragement not only promotes job satisfaction and professional growth but also creates a nurturing learning environment for students. When the educators feel appreciated and motivated, they are better equipped to inspire their students, leading to greater academic success and personal development.
